Childhood Legends

This series of clothing was inspired by a time where Geraldton was filled with uniquely GERO things. The first of these designs came from accidentally finding the Yellow Submarine one day while out doing a job. I was quickly taken back to the second design which came from the memory of a FUNCTIONAL 50 cent swing.

The Yellow Submarine

While built at Dongara, it was first submerged off Geraldton, it was rumoured to be built to "Catch Crays."

The sub was never used as such, so rather than going to scrap it was painted yellow as an ode to the Beatles and displayed on Geraldton's foreshore where it became a childhood legend.

The 50 cent Swing

The 50 cent swing makes a memory of anyone who used it when it worked. It was always questionable and a right of passage for larrikins to use. It is now 'locked' itself in as a childhood legend.
